Great to see older pictures. I was lucky to trace the Bygone Stonehouse booklet online, So I've been reading about the history inc the witches etc. I've been trying to find the history of our house and next door on Argyle Street that was once a shop further up from one of your photos. I have seen one from the 60s/70s it was called Maid Marian. I would love to trace it's history and it's people from right back to 1892 when Robert Lockhart rented it to William Scott🥰

The shop further up was Connells.

I am sure Wullie Millar was in it when it went on fire at one time then he moved across the road to where Logan had the chip shop .Kay Baxter will keep me right here .

Great memories . 💓

My Granny and Grampa Russell lived at 59 Union Street ..where I was born ..many many years ago.🌻
